MANILA, Philippines — Porsche Philippines recently celebrated the Year of the Earth Dog in an exclusive media Chinese New Year celebration at the Carrera Café. President and Chief Executive Officer Roberto Coyiuto III warmly welcomed the guests with a sumptuous feast highlighted by the exclusive preview of the Panamera Sport Turismo models. “We are proud to present the newest addition to the Porsche model range: the Panamera 4 Sport Turismo and the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. This model line of the Panamera luxury sedan perfectly reflects the Porsche design DNA,” he said.
The new Panamera Sport Turismo strikes a dynamic balance between career, family, leisure and driving pleasure that is unrivalled: 4+1 seat concept option, lots of headroom and legroom, and a large luggage compartment volume. The vehicle is 5,049 millimeters long, 1,428 millimeters high and 1,937 millimeters wide, while the large wheelbase spans 2,950 millimeters. The angle of the roof spoiler is set in three stages depending on the driving situation and selected vehicle settings, and generates an additional downforce of up to 50 kg on the rear axle.
The Panamera 4 Sport Turismo can run to a top speed of up to 264 kph while Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo can zoom up to 304 kph. Up to a speed of 170 km/h, the aerodynamic guide element – a central system component of the Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) – stays in its retracted position with an angle of minus seven degrees, which reduces drag and thus optimizes fuel consumption. The new Sport Turismo is the first Panamera to feature three rear seats. The two outside seats take the form of individual seats – in keeping with the model line’s claim for sporty performance with maximum passenger comfort – thereby producing a 2+1 configuration at the rear. The usability of the luggage compartment benefits from the wide opening tailgate, which is electrically operated as standard, and a loading edge height of just 628 millimeters. Measured to the upper edge of the rear seats, the up to 520-liter storage capacity of the Sport Turismo betters that of the sports saloon by 20 liters. When loaded up to roof level and with the rear seats folded down, the gains amount to around 50 liters.
“The launch of the Panamera Sport Turismo models here in Philippines is only a sneak preview of what Porsche has in store for this year. I am excited to bring this iconic German brand to greater heights as it continues on its path to success this 2018,” Mr. Coyiuto added.
