Volkswagen holds VWorld Weekend
MANILA, Philippines — Volkswagen Philippines, exclusive importer and distributor of the country’s bestselling European car brand, recently held the “VWorld Weekend” on Sept. 16 and 17 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
For two days, the VWorld Weekend offered Filipino motoring enthusiasts on the lookout for world-class vehicles an easier way to own a premium German-branded, precision-engineered and designed Volkswagen at special purchase and financing packages.
On display at the VWorld Weekend were an accessorized Beetle and the Polo Hatchback Club Edition. Volkswagen also showcased at the event the new Jetta that will be sold starting at P1.1 million (for the Comfortline). Additional variants for the Jetta are Highline, Business Edition and Business Edition +.
The Jetta was Volkswagen Philippines’ bestselling sedan in 2016. The Jetta has been dubbed the sedan “Made for Everyday Living” with its stylish looks, feature-packed amenities and remarkable comfort features — characteristics that have enabled 14 million units to be sold worldwide in its six generations.
The Jetta is the only diesel model in its segment, powered by a 2.0-liter Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine mated to a six-speed DSG transmission system that generates 150ps at 3,500-4,200 rpm and a class-leading 340Nm of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm.
Standard for all variants are the sunroof, leather seats, Keyless-Go with Push Start and the 5.8” Touchscreen Color Display Audio.
The VWorld Weekend also offered the Polo Hatchback starting at P858,000 and the iconic Beetle starting at P1.24 million. The event further sweetened its offer via special financing packages courtesy of BPI Family Savings Bank, the event’s exclusive bank partner, and its BPI Auto Loans for faster loan processing. These sales offers include all-in down payment for as low as P80,000 and zero-percent interest for up to 60 months (five years). BPI Family Savings Bank officers were on hand to assist customers.
The VWorld Weekend was a fun family event for both adults and their children. During the two-day run, Volkswagen Philippines’ award-winning Child Safety Initiative (CSI) offered the Junior Driving Course.
The Junior Driving Course is aimed at introducing early childhood road safety awareness to children four to eight years old, while imparting important road safety habits to their parents. A 15-minute seminar for both parents and their children were held, then the 50-square-meter Junior Driving Course simulating a road network complete with kiddie cars, toolkits and road signs made the children learn, hands-on, the importance of road safety. At the end of the course, Junior Driver’s Licenses were issued to young CSI “graduates.”
At the VWorld Weekend, visitors left not just with the keys to a brand-new, long-yearned for Volkswagen vehicle that places much more value not just for their hard-earned money, but also for the world-class automotive lifestyle experience that values every member of the family. After all, with Volkswagen, It’s More Than Just a Car.
