MANILA, Philippines – Kidapawan is hoping to set a Guinness record for the biggest cha-cha dance show, State News reported.
According to the report, more than 14,000 people gathered on Tuesday morning in the streets of the capital city of Cotabato province in an attempt to set the record. The participants did a five-minute dance show. Leading them were Mayor Joseph Evangelista and Cotabato Gov. Lala Mendoza.
More than creating a stamp in the famous records book, Kidapawan hopes that the act will erase the negative thoughts associated with their city following the bloody picket dispersal in April this year.
A video of the short performance was posted by a netizen on Facebook.
