MANILA, Philippines  — Maine Mendoza aka "Yaya Dub" is considered as one of the fast-rising stars in today's generation. Being bubbly like she is in front of her fans, who would have thought that the on-the-go girl like Maine used to have self-esteem issues too?

After her performance on "Eat Bulaga's" first "Bulagaan Pa More" grand finals on Saturday, Maine took to Instagram to share how much her stint in show business has changed her in a positive way.

According to Maine, she grew up believing she is not good enough for anything.

In the post she said, "I used to be a girl with a poor self esteem—I actually think I still am. I never believed in my capability of doing things; it could be just me being a pessimist about almost everything but the thing is, I never really believed in myself."

Maine also added that while some people don't really think that she has achieved much, for her, she has achieved more than enough for herself.

"People may think 'Wala pa namang nararating/napapatunayan yang Yaya nyo.' True enough, I guess. Pero para sa'kin, I've done so many things that I never thought I can do; things that I never imagined I am capable of doing," she explained.

In her own words, "Kung wala pa man akong napapatunayan sainyo, sa'kin marami-rami na.. at yun lang, sapat na. Sapat na din para masabi kong proud ako sa sarili ko. Way to go, Meng!

Maine undoubtedly has been inspiring fans since she was first seen on Eat Bulaga's "Kalyeserye." As a testament to her ever growing followers, Maine was recently ranked by socialbakers.com as third on the list of  fastest-growing celebrity profiles on Twitter worldwide for September.

In addition to that she was also honored at the first Catholic Social Media Awards.
