Plot:
Why does Batman get so many films? Because he’s Batman, that’s why.
Batman deals with the aftermath of The Justice League, as well as his ward Dick Grayson’s latest crazy idea: that he should fight crime alongside Batman. Also, Catwoman is still a villain, or at least Batman likes to think so, because the alternative is complicated.
A Batman series would not be complete without using the Joker, and so he makes an appearance at last. Batman’s classic archnemesis plays up all the things that make Batman doubt himself, forcing him to consider the question: has being Batman brought order, or more chaos to Gotham?
Meanwhile the crime lord of crime lords, Black Mask, is slowly but surely taking control of Gotham, subjugating even the most ruthless of crime families. And a mysterious vigilante who goes by the name of Huntress has been cleaning up — but not exactly in the way Batman believes in.
