Focus on details defines Alabang Condo Living of Geo-Estate's Sonria

The Philippine Star

Independent real-estate developer Geo-Estate Inc. has conceptualized its latest offering - Sonria - a 16-storey condominium community in Madrigal Business Park in Alabang.

Sonria, according to the developer, seeks to offer a modern and contemporary kind of Alabang lifestyle in the context of a vertical community.

"We want you to feel at home - surrounded with the people and establishments you consider important," says Miriam Katigbak, Geo-Estate president and chief executive officer.

Sonria offers cozy and cosmopolitan Southern living with the benefits of condo living.

Geo-Estate is proud of the project's prime location, secured through a partnership with the Madrigal family of Alabang.

Among the advantages of the project is the proximity of malls,   commercial centers, leisure and entertainment centers,  as well as schools. All of these can be enjoyed by future Sonria residents without the hassle of city traffic.

Geo-Estate said its target market is the next generation Southerners who may wish to assert independence, yet still enjoy the atmosphere and set up of their childhood community. Katigbak added that empty nesters are beginning to see the practical advantage of moving out of their gated residences.

Seeking to offer the best satisfaction to buyers, Geo-Estate said it focused on details, something that the company can afford as a boutique developer, giving it flexibility.

Working closely with Aidea Integrated Design firm, the master plan of Sonria ensures that the Alabang market will love its design and be proud to call it home.

Sonria will only offer 88 units, designed to replicate the low-density intimate atmosphere of the South where neighbors know their neighbors.

"The fabric of the place is important. Sonria was designed to be consistent with this spirit and character of Alabang," said architect Jojo Tolentino, president of Aidea.

The team further capitalized on the green and idyllic views of the suburbs with wide picture-windows as the focus of the space. “Most of the units face the east, so residents will have the benefit of the morning sun. On a clear day, you can see the Laguna de Bay,” said Katigbak.

“The windows,” added Tolentino, “can actually be opened. We wanted to give our residents air, the movement of the breeze around the home, and copious lighting. The feeling is liberating.” From the masters’ bedroom to the living and dining room, each area will enjoy the abundant panorama.

He also said the configurations of the unit took a long process to ensure optimum space planning. The result is that unit offerings range from 55 square meters for one-bedroom units to 82 square meters for two-bedroom units, and 124 square meters for premium three-bedroom units.

"We went through a long process. Some condominiums have spaces that have no purpose. We wanted to have real and usable square meters," he said.

Katigbak, meanwhile, tapped on her female domestic instincts in conceptualizing interior details.

"We paid particular attention to the kitchens and bathrooms," she said.

Granite counter tops, overhead and under-counter cabinets and drawers with modern soft-touch closures, and surfaces of aluminum, glass, and high-quality laminate all make for a stylish and functional kitchen. Ample pantry space, separate maids’ quarters, laundry and utility areas, powder rooms, and walk-in closets in the master bedroom are proud hallmarks of high-end developments that Sonria also provides.

Katigbak also said that earning and developing the trust of their customers is foremost on their mind.

"We have a responsibility to the customers. We cannot compromise," she said.
