'It's normal': Barbie Imperial responds to netizen's stretch marks comment
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Barbie Imperial had a calm response to a social media user who made a comment regarding stretch marks.
Earlier this week, Barbie posted a series of photos on her Instagram account of her by the water, wearing a red-colored bikini from Sew Local.
"I could be your favorite girl forever," the actress simply wrote in the post's caption.
A number of peers and fans raved over Barbie's photos, including Maloi from the P-Pop girl group BINI and basketball player Renzo Subido.
Host-beauty queen Samantha Bernardo commented, "Gandang makinis!" accompanied by a heart-eyes emoji, while Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla called the actress a "real life Barbie [doll]."
One comment from a random Instagram user bearing no profile icon, however, read, "May stretch mark na din pala kahit di pa nanganak."
Other users were quick to defend Barbie, but the actress herself calmly replied "its normal" with a smiley emoticon.
More online users echoed Barbie's response with some saying young women and even men can have stretch marks.
The original commenter did not seem to take it well as they began picking on others' responses.
This was not the first time Barbie has responded to negative comments regarding her body. In the past, she dealt with them in a similar calm manner.
The "Pinoy Big Brother" alumna and former Girltrends member is best known for appearances in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," "Bagong Umaga," "Oh, Mando!," "Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim," "I Love Lizzy," "3 Day 2 Nights in Poblacion," and several episodes of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" and "Ipaglaban Mo!"
