Dani Barretto says daughter Millie not autistic, took therapy sessions
MANILA, Philippines — Content creator and entrepreneur Dani Barretto bared more details about her four-year-old daughter Millie with husband Xavi Panlilio.
Speaking to members of the media including Philstar.com at the Oatside Pocket Festival, Dani clarified that Millie is not autisitic despite concerns the child has a speech delay.
"She hasn't been diagnosed under the [autism] spectrum, ang diagnosis pa lang sa kanya is [a] speech disorder, if I'm not mistaken," Dani explained.
She continued by saying Millie went through several therapy sessions and is now able to talk.
"There are more words now, we're working on more sentences, so day by day, lumalabas na 'yung voice niya," Dani added.
Dani also admitted that she never had trouble looking after Millie, especially when it comes to feeding her.
"Baby pa lang siya until now, hindi ako nahirapan. Kahit ano pakainin mo, kahit ano painumin mo sa kanya," Dani said, comparing her daughter to Xavi who isn't a picky eater but Dani is.
"So I made it a point that Millie gets all the best, all the healthiest [food] kasi 'yan ang hindi ko nagawa growing up."
Dani and Xavi tied the knot in April 2019 after two years of dating, and Millie was born in September of the same year.
