WATCH: Melai Cantiveros reveals breast lump problem solved by 'miracle'
MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya host Melai Cantiveros opened up last Good Friday about how a "miracle" helped her overcome a breast lump.
During the Minor Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s “Seven Last Words” or “Siete Palabras,” Melai shared how she found out a lump in her breast and kept it a secret.
She then questioned the Lord why He allowed it to happen.
“Bakit mo ako pinabayaan?” she quipped.
Melai then visited Bohol for two months for a retreat to accept her health condition.
“Sana ma-accept ko Lord ang kapalaran ako, kung hanggang saan na lang ako,” she prayed.
Melai promised the Lord that if she gets well, she will bring her children closer to God.
“Nangako ako na ‘pag gumaling ako, dadalhin ko ang anak ko araw-araw sa simbahan hangga’t kaya,” she said.
After two months, Melai noticed that her lump was gone.
“Hindi na ako natakot sa kamatayan kahit wala nakakaalam sa pinagdadaanan ko,” she said.
“Hindi ko na pinagdasal na mawala ang bukol ko. Ang pinagdasal ko is talagang bigyan ako ng peace of mind… After two months, nawala na ang bukol ko. Hindi pa ako umabot sa pag-check-up. Every day ko kinakapa, paggising ko, nawala. God moves in mysterious ways,” she added.
