MANILA, Philippines — Actress Dakota Johnson expressed her openness to becoming a mother in the future, a role she sort of takes on at the moment to the children of her boyfriend and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Dakota sat down for an interview with digital magazine Bustle to talk about her most recent films, including the critically-panned "Madame Web" and personal things happening behind the camera.

Interviewer Charlotte Owen touched upon Dakota's character in "Daddio," where she says motherhood didn't choose her, and asked the actress what she felt about motherhood.

The 34-year-old actress said she was "so open" to being mom, and is even at a point in her life where she wants to experience everything possible.

"Especially being a woman, I'm like, 'What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience,'' Dakota continued. "If that's meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it."

The actress mentioned how short life is, "There's so much to eat up and learn and grow from and experience and feel. That includes all the pain and the suffering and feeling so helpless about the world." She then went into a mild rant about "stupid simplicities."

"I do have that incredible friction in myself. And then I'm like, 'We're not here for very long,' so if I'm meant to be a mother, bring it on," Dakota reiterated.

Dakota has been dating Chris since 2017 and they live together in California. She is also good friends with fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris' ex-wife with whom he has two kids with.

"I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart," Dakota said earlier in the interview when asked if she liked being a stepmom.

Earlier still, Dakota admitted to enjoy watching Chris perform, "I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don't know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know... I'm watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing."

"Madame Web" is currently struggling at the global box office, barely surpassing its allotted budget.

Chris, meanwhile, recently wrapped up the Asia legs of Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" world tour, which included two nights in the Philippines.

The band will resume the tour in June when Coldplay hits Europe. It will end in Australia and New Zealand later this year.
