'Grudges poison the heart': Dimples Romana shares tidbits about pregnancy; life as student, entrepreneur
MANILA, Philippines — Dimples Romana is one of the few actresses in the country who's a proof that “age is just a number.”
She proudly shared that she's 37 years old, baring her flawless skin with an off-shoulder top during a recent Zoom conference for Fortima Multivitamins, a daily vitamin that aims to provide strength and beauty through its unique combination of Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin E to boost one’s immunity and keep the skin healthy.
The klieg lights have not sullied the "Viral Scandal" actress’ skin obviously. And neither has filming affected her studies in New York University (NYU), where she’s currently taking up Continuing Education courses online.
“I’m at my happiest,” the award-winning actress, now on her second trimester of pregnancy with her third child, beamed.
The actress shared that it helps a lot that she loves drinking water, and that she shuns vices that can hasten the aging process.
“What we take in affects our skin,” she said.
More than that, she stops negative thoughts the minute it starts creeping inside her.
She also does not let some negative energy affect her.
“I don’t engage in the negative. I cut out negative people (in my life). I don’t hold on to grudges because they poison the heart,” she said.
The actress said that she always tries to say words that are encouraging, inspiring and making others feel good, helping them gain self-confidence. Dimples said people always remember how you made them feel.
The actress also shared her thoughts on breaking negative stereotypes, and replacing them with positive, better perceptions.
Worried about what people might think because you’re a single mom? Dimples assured it doesn’t make your family, or you as a person, any less.
She shared her own experiences with negative stereotypes. She implied that people back in the day had this notion that actors can’t do anything beyond acting, so some looked down on actors.
“We’re proving everyone wrong,” Dimples reiterated. “I’m proud to be an actress because I can do many other things. There are many aspects to my personality.”
After all, Dimples is not only an actress. But also an entrepreneur, student, mom and wife.
