‘I’m not a mind reader’: Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres-Gomez share tips for successful marriage

In a recent exclusive interview with Philstar.com, celebrity power couple Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez shared how their marriage has gone from strength to strength, while others like Hollywood actors Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus head to Splitsville.
“The secret is no secret,” declared Lucy. “Every day, it’s about committing to the love that you have and not to sweat the small stuff. We hardly have any dramas.”
“He told me early on in our marriage, ‘Honey, I’m not a mind reader, so everything (that’s) in your mind, just blurt it out’,” she added.
“The simple, kung pwede, non-stressful life, that would be much better. The line of communication must be open all the time. We talk about things, enjoy time together, travel,” added Richard.
Apart from traveling, the pair also enjoy having massages, facials and Ultherapy together.
“I’ve had Ultherapy done before, and I really swear by it. It made me look and feel younger and made me feel like I could take on more. The impact that had on me made me want Richard to try it too!” Lucy shared.
Many men have yet to be more vocal about how they take care of themselves, but Richard is open about wanting to make sure every aspect of his life is looked after.
“Tayong mga lalaki, we have to be more open to these things,” he said. “You’re just pushing yourself to be a better, more confident version of yourself. And that will also affect the people around you.” — Video by EC Toledo IV
