Cheska Garcia-Kramer talks about lasting marriage with Doug

MANILA, Philippines - With Valentine's day just around the corner, people ask couples about their secret to having a happy, long lasting relationship. And who is better to give advice than the woman behind the highly popular celebrity family "Team Kramer," Cheska Garcia-Kramer.

In an interview with Philstar.com at the launch of Pond's Institute at the Bonifacio Global Grounds on February 4, the mother of three revealed that making a conscious effort to work things out is the ingredient to a fruitful marriage.

"Making that conscious effort and admitting to yourself that marriage is always about working things out. I think that's it," she said.

"When you put effort in working things out and making the choice to find that one thing you love about your partner, it will work out," she added.

The celebrity mom also added that even with children in the picture, it is important to go on dates not only because there's a special occasion to celebrate.

"Doug and I always go on dates. Every free time that we get to go on dates and spend time as a couple we do it. It's very important," Cheska explained.

Asked where they plan to spend this year's Valentines day, Cheska said she'll be watching Doug's game.

"I'll be cheering my heart out for him!"

Cheska and Doug have been married for seven years. "Team Kramer" includes the couple's three children Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin.
