MANILA, Philippines — While the teenage years signal for a more promising phase in an individual's life, many miss to seize the opportunities in front of them due to their insecurities and the lack of knowledge to empower them.
Like a normal teenager, Liza Soberano admits to have trouble finding her confidence as well.

"Just like any other teenager, I also go through a lot of insecurities that make me doubt myself and restrains me from moving confidently. Not many people know about this, but every time I face a large crowd, I experience stage fright," Soberano admits during the press launch of J&J's Camp Courage.
Soberano is one of the teen ambassadors of the advocacy program Camp Courage, which aims to help build the confidence of female teens to seize the moment.
As an actress who is required to face the cameras with grace and poise, Soberano admits that talking in front of many people is a struggle for her.
"First of all, when you are shy, you have the tendency na iniipit yung boses, so I had to [like] improve my voice and improve my Tagalog, and the way I talk or face people kasi syempre sa showbiz di naman pwedeng natatakot ka sa tao or nahihiya ka. So yun I have to face those problems," she said when asked about the struggles that she face in showbiz as a shy girl who is not used to the crowd.
We all have our own ways of conquering our hiya. So how does Soberno conquer hers?
"Mahiyain ako pero mahilig ako sa sports, dun lumalabas yung pagkaconfident ko siguro," she explained.
According to the ABS-CBN star, she plays sports like volleyball, soccer, football. Liza also does Muay Thai.
"Just be yourself all the time. This is what makes us stand out and people like what's refreshing to the eyes," Soberano said when asked what advice can she give to teenagers struggling with confidence as well.
