Daisy Reyes’ love for golf and family

Daisy Reyes wears many hats.

She is an actress, a singer, an endorser, a model, an entrepreneur, and a councilwoman. But when you sit down with her, she will stress that first and foremost, she is a wife and a mother.

Her strong sense of family is what really impressed me the most, and because of how she values family, she fully understands the needs of our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

With this in mind, despite all the challenges of staging a golf tournament, she went on and held the 2nd Councilor Daisy Reyes Golf Cup at the Valley Golf and Country Club recently to raise funds for Sittizens Association, Inc., the Don Bosco Batulao Scholars, and the Pateros Nutrition Program.

She was not alone in this endeavor as Nike Golf and Longrich were presenters of the event, with support from Daisy Papaya Soap, Ever Bilena, Stradcom, R.M. Nuñez Construction Corp., Capsinesis, Pacsports, Alveo Land, Dr. Smile, Midas Hotel, Michel’s Wine, San Miguel, Appeton, Mega Fiber, Crossover, Glutamax, and Rizgolf.

Over a hundred golfers shared her vision, and spent the entire day not just enjoying a round of golf but also all the entertainment that was prepared for the awarding ceremonies.

It’s really different when people get together with a common goal of helping out, and I’m pleased that more and more individuals have looked at sports as a medium to help the needy. There are now fun runs, poker tournaments, badminton matches, and golf events that raise funds for a worthy cause.

Daisy Reyes came from humble beginnings, and it’s gratifying to see that in spite of all her achievements and celebrity status, she never forgets to look back at where she came from, and now uses her fame to be able to give back and help others. She relishes the idea that she can be a catalyst for change and embraces the notion that she is the driving force for various causes.

Councilor Daisy is a shining example of a woman whose heart is in the right place, and that all begins with the love of family.
