As an advocate of lifelong learning, I always like to promote events that help other people -- especially those with families -- live "improved versions" of their lives.
This is why I’m pleased to invite you to three learning events happening this February, all on the same day. Choose one (or more!) event that suits your family’s current needs, dreams and plans, and get ready to expand your knowledge!
The Learning Basket’s Teacher Yaya Workshop
Date: February 28, 2015 (Saturday)
Time: 9.00-11.30 a.m.
Venue: No. 29, 1st Street, New Manila, Quezon City
Many parents have no choice but to leave their children with yayas while they go to work. Maximize your child’s time with Yaya by helping your helper/yaya learn the value of her work and her responsibilities.
Let parenting advocate Mariel Uyquiengco teach your yaya the importance of her job, a more positive way of looking at the children under her care, and a more informed way of caring for your children via this hands-on workshop.
The learning fee of P500 is inclusive of handouts, snacks, and a certificate. To register your yaya, click here or visit The Learning Basket’s website.
The Breastfeeding Club’s Breastfeeding 202 Class: Sustaining Breastfeeding
Date: February 28, 2015 (Saturday)
Time: 1.00-3.00 p.m.
Venue: No. 29, 1st Street, New Manila, Quezon City
The Breastfeeding Club’s (TBC) founder, Abbie Yabot, is a La Leche League Leader and Certified Lactation Counselor, and has years of experience counseling moms about breastfeeding. She holds regular classes in New Manila, and the one on February 28 will be all about sustaining breastfeeding.
The registration fee of P800 is inclusive of participation of both husband and wife to the TBC’s three breastfeeding classes, plus snacks and a breastfeeding manual. To reserve your slot, call or text 0917-8110821.
Manila Workshops and WAHMderful Life’s Real Ways to be a WAHM: Set Up Your Virtual Assistant Business for Success
Date: February 28, 2015 (Saturday)
Time: 10.00a.m.-5.00 p.m.

If you’re curious about how to set up a virtual business, including how to get permits and secure real, regular income, you should definitely attend this workshop by virtual assistant coach and business owner Marge Aberasturi of The Happy WAHM.
