UP Med alumni homecoming holds Valentine’s event
MANILA, Philippines - The 2015 UP Med alumni homecoming is in full swing with UP Med ’90 spearheading the year’s events. It kicks off with the official launch and UPMAS board oath-taking today, Feb. 10 at the UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas. There will also be a Valentine’s Day concert/comedy show entitled “Ah Lab Ia (and other I Love You stories)” at the Conspiracy Café, Visayas Ave., QC, together with the book launch of Right-brained by Dr. Robbie Meriales, UP Med ’90.
There are two postgraduate CME (Continuing Medical Education) conferences scheduled for the year — April 22-23: “CME 1.0: Changing Paradigms in Medicine: Present Trends and Future Perspectives” and Dec. 15: “CME 2.0: Total Patient Care: Healing of the Mind, Body and Spirit.” Both will be held at the Buenafe Hall of the UPCM and livestreamed to the UPV Tacloban and the two campuses of the UPM School for Health Sciences in Baler, Quezon and Koronadal, South Cotabato, and at www.upm.edu.ph.
An online art auction will be held in June. On Dec. 17, the traditional Mass and UPMAS parade will be held, followed by the business meeting and Pabidahan Talent show. The homecoming events culminate in the UPMAS homecoming benefit ball on Dec. 18 at the Manila Hotel. The Family Day for the celebrating Silver Jubilarians will be on Dec. 20.
