Raising awareness on obesity

MANILA, Philippines - Herbalife, a global nutrition company, recently held a regionwide activity to raise awareness on obesity and to encourage Asians to live a healthy, active lifestyle.  “With trends of rising obesity, an aging population and increasing health consciousness in this region, it is vital that people are made aware that good nutrition and active lifestyle habits can go a long way in helping them lead healthier and more fulfilling lives,” said William M. Rahn, senior vice president and managing director of Herbalife in Asia Pacific. Over 1,000 people from Bonifacio Global City and Cagayan de Oro joined the community-based event. Participants raised a toast to the celebration with Herbalife’s Formula 1 Nutritional Shake. One of the highlights of the day was when Herbalife’s sponsored team, The Philippine Dragon Rowing Team (PDRT) Fireblades, headed by coach Manuel Maya and returning from a winning streak in Singapore, came for a meet-and-greet session with the participants.
