New book reveals the one thing mothers do perfectly

MANILA, Philippines – “We are not perfect, what parent is, we all make mistakes as we raise our kids. But the one thing we do perfectly is love them completely.”

Peachy Concepcion, the author of the inspiring book “Hold on Tight,” once again articulates her motherhood experiences by writing yet another touching book, “I Will Always Love You More.”

The 36-page book features her thoughts and revelations upon seeing her kids grow up, a fulfilling yet heartbreaking experience, which mother of all ages could relate to.

On her book launch attended by her close friends and family, Peachy shared that as a mom, she has no greater joy than seeing her children learn new things and excel at them. But aside from that joy, she also knows the pangs of sadness that come when they walk out the door to do new things that she is no longer part of - experiences meant for them alone.

“I have always told  my kids that no matter where I am, whether next to them or a million miles away, my love is constant, that I am right there with them in spirit in all they do and in all they go through, and my hope is that they always know this,” she said.

“They will never know how much we pray for them every day – for their safety, happiness, for every little thing that life will throw at them. And when we are not with them, we entrust them to the angels that guard them all through each day,” she further added.

Conscious that she is not the only mother going through the bitter sweet “letting go” phase and passionately stirred by her children and family, Peachy scribbled her story with the humble goal that the readers would somehow find their selves somewhere in the book and find memories of their own as they lift through the pages.

As she concluded her speech, she left an advice that would make all the mothers value their children even more, “life goes way faster than you think, in just a blink, your kids have grown, so hug them a lot and tell them just how much you will always love them.”

The book is now available at Powerbooks and Anvil Publishing for P380.
