Learning science is fun at Philippine Science Centrum
MANILA, Philippines - Riverbanks Center in Marikina houses the first interactive science-center museum in the country, the Philippine Science Centrum (PSC).
After surviving the earthquake of 1990, the Philippine Science Centrum continued its science advocacy at the University of the Philippines, Manila campus, then transferred to its present home at E-Com Bldg., Riverbanks Center, Marikina City.
The PSC is a comprehensive educational program composed of various interactive science exhibits, teacher training programs, and students’ projects. After 24 years, they continue to develop more mind-challenging exhibits, conduct teacher training courses such as: Teaching Device Based on Science Centrum Exhibits, where the teacher/participants produce exhibit prototypes based on Philippine Science Centrum’s exhibit development process; Teaching Science Thru Art: Create Your Own Science Books, where modules present a very creative way of assessing the science concepts learned by the students for a scientific topic of his/her choice; Interactive Learning System: Concept and Tools, to upgrade knowledge on improved educational mechanism that will effectively teach scientific concepts and skills for students to focus on the actual tinkering of simple experiments; and Hands-On Minds-On Microscale Chemistry (Laboratory in a Box (LaB).
The Philippine Science Centrum can also be a host for your venue needs. It has a lobby and activity area suited for events such as birthday parties, seminars, trainings, contests, other science-related educational activities; a Multi-Purpose Hall and Science Hall ideal for small group meetings or workshops equipped with an LCD projector and sound system; Science Gallery which is perfect for thematic photo or video shoots intended for commercials, on-site events; and a souvenir shop offering an array of scientific toys and gadgets and PSC souvenirs.

Admission fee for a maximum of 1.5 hours is P120 per person with an additional P60 every hour thereafter. Teachers with ID and children below two years old are free and senior citizens get 50% discount.
