MANILA, Philippines - Besides eating nutritious food, performing daily exercises is also a key to having a healthy and fit body. And when it comes to getting a body to die for, Ellen Adarna is the perfect guru.
The 24-year old Cebuana was launched as the newest endorser of underwear line Bench Body on July 14 at The Fort. Bench has also released Ellen's “Get this Body” work out videos, which include jump rope exercises, plyometrics, and kickboxing.

Jump rope may be the most handy and portable workout tool available. Jumping rope is a great calorie-burner; burns 300 calories when performed for 30 minutes. In other words, you would have to run an eight-minute mile to work off more calories than you would burn jumping rope.
Aside from weight loss, it also increases cardiovascular fitness and is a great way to improve the muscle tone in your legs and lower body. Peter Schulman, MD, associate professor, Cardiology/Pulmonary Medicine, University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington said, "It strengthens the upper and lower body and burns a lot of calories in a short time."

Plyometrics also known as jump training targets both the speed and strength of your body, which results to power. Because plyometric training strengthens muscles and decreases impact forces on the joints, it may reduce the risk of injury in some people, enhances ability to burn calorie, increases muscle endurance, and develops muscle power.
