Ice skating: A cool way to beat the heat

MANILA, Philippines - Bring out your skates and practice, let go of your jumps and spins as Marikina City is now on ice with the recent opening of Riverbanks Center’s ice skating rink.

Since its opening, the skating rink located near the food court has seen a lot of people, mostly families with kids and teens, having lessons or simply trying out the ice on their own.

Rate is so reasonable you can skate all day. For only P100, you can skate for 30 minutes with a 30-minute one-time extension only for an additional P50. Even gears that go with the fee are absolutely spanking clean and brand-new. Be ready with your socks though as it’s a must to wear them inside the rink.

Michael Martinez wannabes, ice skating enthusiasts, kids, and adults alike who want to go ice skating, and those who simply want to beat the scorching heat can now troop to Riverbanks Center in Marikina City, open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Call 570-0701 local 332 for more details.
