Meet the newest member of the TaylorMade family

REAL SPORTS SCENE - Anthony Suntay - The Philippine Star

TaylorMade, the No. 1 played driver brand on the PGA Tour, recently marked another milestone when it launched the JetSpeed family, a breakthrough line of metal woods, at the South Point Driving Range in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

The afternoon affair had golfers from all over the metro converging in the south to be the first to try the newest addition to the TaylorMade family. Among those who experienced the great next innovation in metal wood performance were reigning US Kids World champion Jed Dy, Filipino LPGA players Dottie Ardina and Jayvie Agojo, LPGA certified teacher and TaylorMade brand ambassador Stephanie Yu, as well as members of the media.

The JetSpeed family of clubs includes the company’s first driver to feature Speed Pocket technology. Incorporating a Speed Pocket into the JetSpeed driver promotes less spin, as well as greater ball speeds on shots struck below the center of the club face. The other members of the family, the JetSpeed fairway woods and Rescue clubs, combine an enhanced Speed Pocket, an extremely low-forward center of gravity location, and extremely light overall weight to promote faster swing speed, club head speed, and ball speed for more distance.

In addition to the JetSpeed family, the new Tour Preferred (TP) irons and SLDR metal woods were also made available for golfers to test-drive. The TaylorMade team from Singapore and Hong Kong, headed by Joey Chuasiriporn, TaylorMade’s regional product manager for Asia, was on hand to assist golfers excited to get their hands on the new equipment.

“We’re happy with the day’s turnout, and the enthusiasm shown by Pinoy golfers. It’s a true testament to their passion for the game and their continued quest to take it to the next level,” said Dennis Chong, senior marketing manager of TaylorMade-Adidas Golf.

To reward the golfers who attended the launch, TaylorMade product vouchers worth P4,500 as well as Anvaya Cove and Ayala Greenfield Estates green fee vouchers were given away. Four lucky golfers also walked away with brand-new JetSpeed drivers: Ailene Litonjua, Antonio Macapagal, Mannie Alcantara, and Stef Guidotti.

TaylorMade-Adidas Golf equipment and products are available at authorized retailers: Pro Line Sports Center, Tour Master Golf and Golf Depot. Aviva Pacific Golf Corp. is the authorized wholesaler. The game of golf just got a whole lot more exciting!

See you at the greens!
