Grey Goose fires up golf invitational

It was a glorious day as Manila’s leading lifestyle engagers and nightlife impresarios blazed the greens of Alabang Country Club for the 5th Grey Goose Invitational. The annual event saw 30 teams competing for the top position in the tournament.

Notable personalities who took part in the tourney included Louie Ysmael, Chito Melo, GP Reyes, Mike Floro, VJ Vergel De Dios, Edwin Dazo, Noel Del Rosario, Anton and Charles Palanca, Alfie Tiaoqui, Calvin Li, Jon Naval, Mike Besa, Howard Co, Jay Server, Michael Kho, and Jun Yupitun.  Also present were Thai Airways GM Sern Chupikulchai, Thai Ambassador Prasas Prasasvinitchai, and celebrity golfers Ogie Alcasid, Epi Quizon, and Ira Cruz,  among many others.

This year’s top placers include: Raymund Sangil, Overall Low Gross; Thirdy Escano, Class A Champion; Jere Fregil, Class B Champion; Calvin Li, Class C Champion; Finina Gorres, Ladies Champion. This year’s 5th Grey Goose Invitational Champion Team is L1 comprised of Bones Floro, Thirdy Escano, Michael Kho, and Heinz Gobing.

Another exciting twist to this year’s edition was the fun and excitement that continued with the awarding and 19th hole celebration at the Jaguar/Land Rover showroom which was transformed into a plush Grey Goose lounge for the evening. Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet and served with free flowing Grey Goose signature cocktails that included the “Back Nine” and the “Grey 19th Hole.”  The program was hosted by Carla Dunareanu who further spiced up the evening by rendering several musical numbers. Adding fun and surprises were the exceptional prizes amply provided by event partners Thai Airways, Jaguar/Land Rover, Raffles & Fairmont Makati, Club Car, U-Boat, Super Sunglasses, The Suriya Spa, Tumi Luggages and Braun Shavers.
