Real Love Revolution
MANILA, Philippines - Men and women, boys and girls, experience the joys and travails of love and life. Everyone longs for the full satisfaction of the will to give itself entirely to the beloved. However, there are perennial and modern challenges to reckon with … lust, unfaithfulness, instant gratification, worldliness, excessive love of body, pleasure for pleasure sake, in short, selfishness. We are all called by our humanity to get out of our “self†and be completely open to the “otherâ€. This is the only way we can guarantee our happiness despite the many difficulties and dilemmas that we have to confront each day.
Jason and Crystalina Evert, two foremost advocates of pure love in the United States, are coming to the Philippines to help shape lives towards their common destiny of real love, fidelity, and well-being. On September 7, 2013, the husband and wife team will touch the heart of 8,000 people at Real Love Revolution 2013, a chastity conference organized by CATALYST, an outreach, leadership, and advocacy organization of the University of Asia and the Pacific. It will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City. There will be two sessions, one in the morning (8:30 AM – 12:00 PM) and one in the afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:30 PM). Archbishop of Manila Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle will celebrate the Holy Mass at 2pm. Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas, D.D. of Lingayen-Dagupan will concelebrate the mass with Msgr. Carlos Estrada, Opus Dei Vicar for the Philippine Region, Fr. Conegundo Garganta, the Executive Secretary of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Youth, Fr. Joel Jason, Commissioner of Family and Life & Advocator of the Theology of the Body – San Carlos Seminary and Fr. Rico Garcia, Liturgical Ministry Head – Archdiocese of Manila .
The speakers will address the various issues in the Philippine society today such as the RH Law, contraception, divorce, pre-marital sex, and teenage pregnancy. Through education, we believe that can fight for the principles that we believe in, namely family, chastity, and life.
