Smile! It’s CloseUp’s BYOB party
MANILA, Philippines - One night, two DJs, and a club full of people tweeting away their favorite party hits. Last December 8, CloseUp threw the first ever Bring Your Own Beat (BYOB) party at the Prive Luxury Club.
“CloseUp has always been associated with music, so we thought why not throw a party where you can actually bring your own beat,†said CloseUp brand manager Brian Duruin.
Throughout the night, guests and those in the Twitter sphere suggested their favorite party songs by tweeting with the #CloseUpBYOB hashtag. From last summer’s hit Call Me Maybe to the most popular electric dance music tracks, DJ Clyde Harris and Mars Miranda blasted one party song after another, giving everybody something to dance to.
Hosted by Aaron Atayde, CloseUp also premiered the newest Get Fresh, Get Close music video by Karl Wolf. After that, DJ Mars Miranda played his own mix of the song while the Philippine All-Star dancers grooved to the beats.
Various social groups were there to bring their own beat, including bloggers Laureen Uy, David Guison, Vern Enciso, Shai Lagarde, and Seph Cham; friends Nicole Andersson, Mike Concepcion, and Ava Daza; Stoked Inc. surfers Jeff Ortega, Erin Lane, and Lorraine Lapus; Artista Academy top six Sophie Albert, Vin Abrenica, Chanel Morales, Akihiro Blanco, Sharia Mae Dela Cruz, and Mark Neuman; Magic 89.9 girls Andi Manzano, Jessica Mendoza, and Riki Flores; Colleen Garcia, Enrique Gil, and Steven Silva, among others.
