Train your child to be a champion

MANILA, Philippines - “Champions are made, not born.” This inspirational statement was the overriding theme at “Sports Psychology: The Championship Mind,” the 2012 November session of the Sports Science Initiatives Seminar series at the Metropolitan Club.

In her talk “What Makes a Champion,” Dr. Marissa Guinto-Adviento, sports psychologist and faculty member at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, said there are no championship genes, people can be trained for championship and champions can be nurtured.

Parents can be mentors, coaches, teachers, and cheerleaders rolled into one, and play a key role in their children’s success.

Nexcare provides a wide array of products to ensure that your champion is taken care of when pain intrudes while practicing and training. Reusable hot and cold packs, Steri-Strip Skin Closure, Nexcare Gentle Paper First Aid Tape, and Nexcare Soft n’ Flex Bandages are just some of kid-friendly products that can be used should your champion encounter daunting sprains, bumps, and bruises.
