LG promotes energy savings

MANILA, Philippines - LG Electronics Philippines recently launched its new line of home appliances, reinforcing its leadership as the top brand to respond directly to the needs of health-conscious eco consumers and bringing to life the concept of energy efficiency for trendsetters.

Launching its new energy efficiency line at Marriott, the venue reflected the lifestyle of health-conscious eco consumers, outfitted with engaging modules that explained the benefits of LG’s inverter technology in refrigerators, washers, and air conditioners.

“We are now offering Filipinos a greener choice of home appliances that are not only energy-efficient but also designed to help consumers reduce their monthly utility bills. Our inverter technology is the core of all our home appliances that give better energy savings, thus fostering a healthier lifestyle at home — from washing clothes to preserving food and promoting clean air,” says Sungwoo Nam, managing director of LG Electronics Philippines.

“You can make your home more comfortable and easier to cool, while you save money by following these easy-to-do energy saving tips: Use appliances that are more efficient and lower in kilowatts, invest in inverter technology. To maximize energy efficiency, use electrical appliances in the shortest possible time. Avoid positioning your refrigerator and aircon in areas prone to direct sunlight. Lastly, turn off and unplug appliances when not in use,” says Danny Aquillo, Meralco’s senior manager of Customer Solutions.

Dovetailing the global concern for the environment and understanding consumers’ needs, LG’s new eco home appliance line includes the Side by Side Refrigerator and Smart Eco Door, new top load and frontload washer with six-motion drive, and the LG Plasmaster 4S aircon.

The Side by Side refrigerator with the Smart Eco Door innovation is intended to save energy by preventing cool air from escaping from the refrigerator’s main compartment.
