MANILA, Philippines - Trading their scrubs for more casual get-up, doctors from the Asian Hospital and Medical Center took a break from their hectic schedules for some rounds of golf at the annual CMO Cup held recently at Ayala Greenfields in Laguna.
Participated in by families, friends, and fellow golf aficionados from Asian Hospital, this year’s CMO Cup was organized to pay tribute to Dr. Rodrigo Floro, Asian Hospital’s first medical director.
The golf tourney was indeed a much-anticipated event for the doctor-golfers, who wanted not only to take a breather and have fun with their favorite sport, but also to strengthen the camaraderie among themselves.
“The CMO Cup is just one of annual golf tournaments we organize under the Asian Hospital Golf Club,” says Dr. Juan Rosas, chief medical officer of Asian Hospital and Medical Center. “The purpose of this really is to promote fitness and friendship among the hospital’s medical staff.”
Bringing their respective golf gear and comparing improvements in their stance and swing techniques, the participants were all game and ready to score a hole in one. It was definitely an exhilarating game not only for the players but for the spectators as well.
