Australia's 'brain man' gives free lectures
MANILA, Philippines - The Beacon School, the country’s first and only educational institution authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), will host a series of free lectures open to the general public by John Joseph, Dip. T., B. Ed., M.Ed, an experienced classroom practitioner, university educator, and professional speaker, with expertise in the field of contemporary learning theories and practices.
Known as the “brain man” in Australia, John Joseph engages parents and teachers to understand how children best learn, given current brain research. A captivating speaker, he has worked with over a quarter of a million people internationally in his mission to enlighten those entrusted with the development of young minds.
For parents, “International Best Practices for Learning in the Early Years” will be held on Thursday, February 2, 8:30–11:30 a.m. while “Parenting with the Brain in Mind” will be presented on the same day at 1-4 p.m. at Palm Grove, The Rockwell Club, 23 Amorsolo Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati City. For teachers of students two to eight years old, “Focus on Learning, the Early Years” will take place on Friday, February 3, 1–4 p.m. at the Beacon School Auditorium.
