MANILA, Philippines - Who wouldn’t want to have a flat abdomen, shapely butt, lean arms, and firm legs?
It isn’t easy having an almost flawless body like that of a beauty queen, but we can always try. Like Nona Young, a 48-year-old businesswoman and grandmother whose curves belie her age.
But there was a time when Nona wasn’t in tip-top shape. It was ironic because she owns and runs ForeverYoung, a health store on Plaza Pacita, San Pedro, Laguna.
She saw her body getting big, especially her abdomen, but she couldn’t go to the gym because she was busy. Worse, she was often constipated, which added to her physical discomfort. And to think her store sells a bowel-cleansing product!
In February this year, she enrolled in Easy Pha-max’s three-day colon cleansing camp held at Hotel Nikko. She admits it was hard following strictly the soft and liquid diet for the first three days leading to the fasting phase, where she would only consume the colon-cleansing products. But she was determined to see it through.

“I’m so happy with the results. I lost weight, from 120 lbs. to 106 lbs. My waistline is now 27 from 31 inches, and my hips from 36 inches to 29. My metabolic age is getting younger everytime it’s calculated by the nurses and nutritionists at Easy Pha-max,” she relates.
(A metabolic age number younger than the chronological age means the person is fitter and in better health than the average. Older metabolic age than the person’s calendar years means being less healthy and fit, which should be considered a wake-up call.)
“They say I look much younger than before,” enthuses Nona. “My husband is happy and just last October, he did his first three-day colon cleansing. That’s why I always tell friends and relatives that colon cleansing is important in order to avoid diseases. Prevention is still better than cure.”
Nona adds, “Now, I just maintain my weight and figure. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water. I still don’t have time to go to the gym, so walking is my best exercise. I regularly drink one to two sachets of wheatgrass pure upon waking up and before going to bed. I drink Biocoffee for breakfast, I also take Insupro, Skywheat Plus, BioSoy milk as my food supplements. For me, it’s better to take food supplements, even if they’re expensive, because health is wealth. Keep on smiling, be happy despite the challenges in life.
