Centris Walk hosts '7th Rhymes for Peace'
MANILA, Philippines - Centris Walk in Eton Centris plays host to this year’s “7th Rhymes for Peace: A Celebration of Peace through Music and the Arts” on Saturay, September 17. The event will see artists from different disciplines coming together to mark International Day of Peace in the country through music, arts, and poetry. Activities will start at 8 a.m.
International Day of Peace is a global celebration calling for non-violence through various forms of artistic collaborations that promote peace, unity, and camaraderie. In the Philippines, the event has been initiated by LAHI Kolektib for the past seven years.
The entire stretch of Centris Walk will set the stage for the colorful affair marked by a day of free workshops and performances, including poetry reading, photo exhibit, rock balancing, Mandala writing, and a world music concert featuring performances by ethnic, roots, and rock artists.
“7th Rhymes for Peace” is just one of the many significant and exciting activities lined up at the sprawling Centris Walk. This expansive food and lifestyle strip is fast becoming a favorite venue for events concerts, exhibits, and expositions, among others.
Centris Walk can accommodate huge crowds with the added benefit of ample parking space and 24-hour security complement. At night, Centris Walk transforms into a visual spectacle illuminated by stylized canopies called “Constellations” outfitted with lighting effects that emit a play of colors. Other attractions are weekend markets like Sidcor, Quezon City’s longest-running weekend market (open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday) and The Food Bowl Night Market (held every Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 12 midnight and every Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
