The biggest 'waist losers' at C2 Envidia challenge
MANILA, Philippines - C2 Envidia Green Tea, the healthy and refreshing beverage from Universal Robina Corporation (URC), proved its potency in helping drinkers lose weight with the C2 Envidia 6-Week Waist Loss Challenge for employees of the Gokongwei group. Contest winners Cris Lacson and Onin Dela Cruz, Jr. lost nine inches off their waists and attest to the slimming effects of the drink that contains L-Carnitine and EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate).
Top losers Cris and Onin stood out among 454 contenders and accomplished the Envidia six-week plan which includes the consumption of three bottles of C2 Envidia 355ml a day, three hours of aerobic exercise a week, and a healthy diet. After only a month and a half, Cris and Onin were P30,000 richer and several inches slimmer.
Thirty-five-year-old Cris, an employee of Universal Robina Corporation (URC), joined the challenge as a form of katuwaan among her and her co-workers. She also saw the contest as a fun way to shed pounds. To her surprise, she went from 65 kilos to 57 kilos and her waistline went from 38 inches to 29 inches. Her intake of Envidia was complemented by one to two hours of exercise every night and rice consumption of just 1/2 cup a day. She also stayed away from sweets during the challenge.
“My favorite flavor of C2 Envidia is Mixed Berries. I am so happy with the result. With my new figure, I feel lighter and it’s easier for me to move around. Now, I can pursue my favorite activity, taekwondo,” she says.
Like Cris, 37-year-old Sun Cellular employee Onin saw the challenge as an opportunity to lose weight with the cash incentive as a bonus. He used to weigh 93 kilos with a 45-inch waist. After six weeks, he went down to 80 kilos and his waist shrank to 36 inches. “I did it with C2 Envidia along with one-hour cardio workout sessions, muscle toning, sleeping six to eight hours a night, having a diet which consists of oatmeal, cereals, fresh veggies, fish, and by ceasing to drink alcoholic drinks within the duration of the challenge,” he explains.
