A day of sharing and caring
MANILA, Philippines - The Generics Pharmacy devoted its time and free services at the Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) Cares’ recent medical mission held in Floodway, Pasig City.
Together with the CCF bronze staff, The Generics Pharmacy reached out to more than 500 people in need of immediate medical attention. A team of 12 physicians, 24 dentists, and over 50 volunteer workers and nurses spent a whole day assisting and providing free expert advice and consultation, with long queues of patients of all ages given relief from various ailments ranging from cough and colds to anemia and other bodily pains like tooth and backaches.
CCF Cares, for its part, recognized the need to provide not just quality medical assistance for the people’s physical health; it also offered spiritual guidance to the patients who wonderfully reaffirmed their commitment to God and accepted His gift of salvation.
According to Sarah Ongsun, promotions manager for The Generics Pharmacy, this direct approach by volunteer groups greatly helps the government address key concerns in health care. “Accomplishing the responsibility of giving countless poor Filipinos medical attention is indeed a gargantuan task for the government alone to handle. To do more, companies like us need to form strong partnerships with fellow non-government volunteer networks and religious groups.”
The Generics Pharmacy is also the only drug company in the country that provides customers direct benefits via its various complimentary service offerings such as Dial-A-Doc program, whose hotline number (732-3333) directly connects consumers to free medical consultation from a doctor on duty, and free clinics in selected outlets along with 20-percent outright discount for senior citizen customers.
As the fastest growing retailer of generic medicines in the Philippines with 1,000 stores nationwide to date, The Generics Pharmacy is also the most established brand in the generics category, ensuring customers of wide variety, high quality, and very affordable medicines for the Filipino people.
Currently offering high-quality imported and locally produced generic medicines for various ailments, the pharmaceutical retail company also sells low-priced equivalent drugs like paracetamol, a medication for fever, for only P0.60 per tablet against the leading brand at P3.
