Condom: An effective anti-infection device

MANILA, Philippines - Over the years, many preventive measures against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) have been introduced, but only condoms got the nod of many health organizations because of their efficacy as an anti-infection device.

Evidence gathered by the US Department of Health and Human Services and the United Nations Population Fund shows that consistent use of latex male condoms is a highly effective method for preventing HIV transmission. Scientific research by the US National Institutes of Health and World Health Organization (WHO) found that “intact condoms are essentially impermeable to particles the size of sexually transmitted disease pathogens, including the smallest sexually transmitted virus.”

Arun Hemandas, marketing manager of AAA Pharma, exclusive distributor of Kama Sutra, Moods, and Protec condoms, says, “With all the issues attached to the use of condoms, I believe Filipinos are more concerned about their safety and reproductive health above all. Condoms are an anti-infection device and we should have an access to these. The incidence of STD and HIV in the country is increasing and we should be educated on how to prevent these diseases.”

Kama Sutra is manufactured by J.K. Ansell, a globally renowned name in quality latex products. Kama Sutra prophylactics are backed by cutting-edge technology and made according to stringent international standards. With an interesting range of condoms available, Kama Sutra raises the bar in quality and protection. AAA Pharma is a health solution provider with a wide range of health and family planning devices such IUDs, oral and injectible contraceptives.
