MANILA, Philippines - Are you the type who likes helping not only yourself cope with life’s ups and downs, but others as well? Then, you can be a life coach. Step one is by attending Dr. Randy Dellosa’s PSLC (Philippine Society of Life Coaches) Life Coach Training Program on three weekends: Oct. 23 to 24, Nov. 13 to 14, and Nov. 27 to 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The series of seminars will be held at the University Hotel, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
Dellosa, who is not only a life coach but a psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, and holistic physician as well, has prepared a program for life coaches, HR practitioners, and managers who want to use life coaching skills in organizations. The program is also for non-professionals who want to enhance their relationships with friends and loved ones.
Modules are designed by a Filipino for Filipinos, making it consistent with the Filipino mindset, temperament, and ways of interaction. They are strongly grounded in psychological theory and research, focus on developing the life coach’s character/personality, and stress ethical guidelines. Activities are highly interactive and experiential, with Dellosa himself giving feedback and supervision.
Modules cover the following topics: Foundations of Life Coaching, Life Coaching and Filipino Psychology, The Process and Competencies of Life Coaching, The Multiple Roles and Skills of a Life Coach, The Tasks and Scope of Life Coaching, Ethical Considerations in Life Coaching, and Establishing a Private Practice.
