McDonald's celebrates soccer mania

-

MANILA, Philippines – Soccer fever has indeed swept the nation and the rest of the world because of the recently concluded World Cup. You see the latest scores on Facebook statuses, e-mail blasts, and cartoon strips. Even the ladies are cheering for their favourite soccer studs!  Best of all, kids are learning to drop their video game consoles and are now enticed to go out of the house and have some real fun by playing soccer.

And because soccer is such a hit among kids, McDonald’s celebrates the world’s most popular sport via Soccer Mania Mall Tour 2010 at the Ayala Malls. This event aims to further promote the wonderful sport of soccer to kids to help them attain a healthy and active lifestyle.

The McDonald’s Soccer Mania Mall Tour 2010 is a seven-day, interactive soccer-themed, event series held at different Ayala Malls from June to July, 2010. Here, kids can participate in different exercises, games, and challenges such as the Juggle Challenge, Dribbling Competition, Beat the Goalie and Kick-for-a-Prize, all for free. They can also join soccer clinics courtesy of professional coaches from Futkalero, namely Peter Amores, Hadi Rushdy, Shereef Villanueva, and Charly Collado.

The McDonald’s Soccer Mania Mall Tour’s final leg will be held at soccer-friendly Alabang Town Center on July 25-26.

The McDonald’s Soccer Mania Mall Tour 2010 @ Ayala Malls is presented by McDonald’s Philippines, Ayala Malls, in cooperation with Balls TV,  U92FM, NU 107, Gerflor Taraflex, and Chevrolet. For more information, interested parties may call Crush Philippines at 893-1434.
