Breastfeeding tips at Philips Avent seminar

MANILA, Philippines - Parents and would-be parents got tons of valuable information at the breastfeeding seminar hosted by Philips Avent, the leading name in infant and childcare products. Held at Robinsons Festival Mall, the event featured discussions by medical experts who talked about different issues — from pregnancy and baby’s birth, to breastfeeding and child development.

Dr. Christopher Soriano, an obstetrician-gynecologist from The Medical City, talked about how pregnancy will bring about many changes in a woman’s body, thus it is important that expectant mothers keep with their checkup schedules. He discussed various procedures commonly done during pregnancy and explained the necessity of observing pre-natal care to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby.

Dr. Corry Avanceña, a pediatrician from the Asian Hospital and Makati Medical Center, discussed the importance of breastfeeding not only in building the bond between mothers and their infants but also in giving babies the kind of nutrition that can only get from breast milk.

Exciting items such as Sunnex flasks and Goody gift packs were raffled off, and two lucky winners each went home with an Avent ISIS manual breast pump. All the guests received special giveaways from Philips Avent as well.

The event was part of a seminar series conducted by Philips Avent to help educate parents everywhere on various issues related to child care. Aside from providing useful information, Philips Avent also offers a varied array of products suited to the various stages and requirements of childcare while also responding to the needs of today’s mothers. From breast pumps and breast milk containers, sterilizers, warmers, soothers, baby monitors, thermometers, humidifiers, toddler feeding accessories such as training cups and weaning spoons, to specially formulated skincare products for both expecting moms and babies, and even stylish yet functional diaper bags for families on the go, Philips Avent answers the needs of parents who only want products of the highest quality for their babies.
