Yummy back-to-school 'baon' ideas

For instance, try this recipe that gives macaroni and cheese a fresh spin:

Tuna And Potato Chip Mac ‘N’ Cheese

(Serves 2 to 3. Preparation time: 15 minutes, cooking time: 40 minutes)

1 tablespoon butter

1/3 cup chopped onions

2 tablespoons flour

2 cups milk

1/2 tablespoon mustard

1 cup grated Cheddar or Quickmelt cheese

1 (120-gram) can tuna, drained

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste

145 grams elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions

1/3 cup crushed potato chips

2-1/2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Sauté onions until translucent. Add flour and cook, stirring for one to two minutes. Add milk and whisk until smooth, then continue whisking for about five minutes or until thick. Remove from heat and add mustard, Cheddar or Quickmelt cheese, tuna, and green onions. Mix well. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in macaroni and mix well. Transfer to a greased ovenproof dish, then sprinkle with combined potato chips and grated Parmesan. Bake in a preheated oven or turbo broiler at 350°F for 20 minutes or until top is lightly golden.
