Tumble Tots seminar for 'yayas' set
MANILA, Philippines – “How can I teach my child’s yaya proper hygiene? Is there a personality development course for these caregivers whom children tend to emulate?”
These are but a few of the concerns raised by parents because of the inherently close relationship that develops between a caregiver and her ward, inevitably affecting the child’s personal growth and development.
For that reason, UK-based international preschool Tumble Tots has included a forum for child caregivers in its educational and advocacy program.
The Caregiver Forum is scheduled on Friday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dubbed “Yaya: Kalinisan Mo, Kalusugan Ko,” the forum will focus on good hygiene, grooming, and personality development.
The guest speakers are experts in their respective fields. Dr. Marie Fe Tayson, head of The Medical City Pandemic Flu Task Force Committee and a fellow of the Philippine Society of Microbiology & Infections Diseases, will address concerns about health and hygiene. Actress, TV host, and mother of two Gladys Reyes-Sommereux will talk about good grooming and the expectations of parents from yayas, while Kara Agustin of John Robert Powers will give a short workshop on personality development.
The seminar fee for every caregiver is only P150 and this covers the snacks, materials, and certificate. Inquiries and registration can be made with Celia Lizada or teacher Alex Antonio of Tumble Tots at 687-6793, 687-6375 and 09177010097.
Located at E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Libis, Quezon City, Tumble Tots offers a complete education system that caters to a child’s overall development as it advances his progress in all areas.
Tumble Tots is Britain’s leading preschool for children two months to six years old. More information can be obtained from www.tumbletots.com.ph.
