Chains on terrain: Filicity mountain bike race
MANILA, Philippines – Mountain biking is thrilling, wild, and over the edge. It has the feel of extreme sports, but just about anyone can do it and just about anywhere. You don’t even need a mountain to ride.
Festival Supermall, in cooperation with MTBAddict, will hold the 3rd “Chains on Terrain” Filicity mountain bike race on Saturday, May 30 at 8 a.m. at the Filinvest Corporate City vicinity. A new trail was designed and developed by MTBAddict specifically for this race that runs for approximately five to six kms. per lap.
Riders are invited to join and register on or before May 17. Registration forms are available at www.mtbaddict.com, Customer Service of Festival Supermall and Gran Trail Cycles at Westgate. A registration fee of P500 for early registrants and P600 after May 27 comes with a race kit, which includes a jersey, Summit Zero Cal water, Summit drinking water, and number tags.
Race categories include a senior division that covers participants 21 to 29 years old, Masters 1 for ages 30 to 39, and Masters 2 for racers 40 and above. All categories will run for three laps, which will start and finish at the Westgate Center.
Winners will receive cash prizes and tokens courtesy of Columbia Sportswear and Royal Sporting House.
