According to Renato Reyes, president of Charmy Food Philippines Inc., the new soya milk drinks in vanilla and chocolate variants in shelf-stable condition “give the public the convenience and assurance that they can bring along these products anytime and anywhere without fear of spoilage.”
In line with the product launch, Charmy Food Philippines Inc. also assures customers that the new soya milk drinks, along with the company’s existing products currently being sold in supermarkets, school canteens, and other retail outlets, are proven safe for public consumption because they are methodically processed and guaranteed melamine-free.
Reyes clarifies that all Charmy products are sourced from high-quality soya beans and not from powdered milk. “This alone is an assurance to the public that our products are safe even before the melamine issue. But still, on our own initiative, we have subjected our products to a test by a laboratory accredited by the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) which confirmed that our products are free from melamine,” notes Reyes.
Charmy Food Philippines Inc. has been a primary local producer of soya milk drinks and other soya-based products like tofu (tokwa), toho, and sweetened soy bean curd (taho) for 12 years now. Its products are made from 100-percent food-grade, non-genetically modified soya beans which are directly imported from the USA .
