Las Haciendas: A trip to wellness

Nestled at the foothills of Tagaytay ridge and facing Taal Lake, the 342-hectare Las Haciendas is an ecologist’s dream come true. A prime project of Phoenix Land, Inc. (PLI), Las Haciendas Evergreen Communities in Laurel, Batangas calls out to everyone who wants to get in touch with the best things in life and nature.

There are three natural waterfalls inside the haciendas. “While the stress and drama of life in a big city and increasingly competitive world persist, it’s nice to know we have a means of getting away from it all. With Las Haciendas’ rich natural beauty, for anyone who wants to take a break from the noise and hassles of urban living, trying the buhay probinsya once in a while is refreshing,” says PLI executive vice president Charina Garcia.

Several bodies of water can be found inside the haciendas, as it is near the Taal Lake.

“Visit a natural waterfall and it’s easy to appreciate nature and want to protect it for future generations. In fact, waterfall moments can be so special that you’ll remember them for the rest of your life,” adds Garcia.

The luscious greens soothe the senses. “The haciendas offer perfect grounds for farming, raising animals, landscaping, and just about everything,” Garcia points out.

The Pugad Lawin Adventure Camp houses some of the most challenging trails one can conquer. It is sure to attract a new breed of adventurers with its exciting rope courses. It offers an adventure getaway for the whole family.

Ms. Earth hopefuls recently visited the scenic place to encourage the cause to save and preserve the environment.

While enjoying nature at its best, treat yourself to a good massage and spa. Bask in the gush of flowing water, bird and animal sounds until you dose off to sleep and then, wake up to the rustling of leaves.

“The spa has an all-natural setting with world-class features,” Garcia notes.

As for the weary spirit, there’s a stone church, Simbahang Bato, located in the heart of the haciendas.

And for hungry stomachs, there’s the Foodie Hub. Last year, Las Haciendas held a nationwide contest for students to cook the best adobo. Some 35 culinary schools, colleges, and universities joined the contest. Las Haciendas gathered more than a hundred adobo recipes from students from all over the Philippines.

“Las Haciendas will be the home of best adobo in the country as we are in the process of getting all the best adobo recipes of known and amateur cooks in the country,” Garcia stresses.
