A youth “face-off” with media
"Is there a Place for us in Media?" is the third in a series of dialogues between young Filipinas of today and media leaders. Young girls ages 15 to 20 are invited to join this lighthearted yet straightforward forum to share how they feel about how women are being portrayed in today’s media landscape and how media organizations should respond to the call for more values-oriented, child and women friendly content. In other words, is there room for virtue in virtual reality?
This will be held at Tanglaw University Center, Examiner St., West Triangle, Quezon City on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 8:30am to 12noon.
Ms. Chi Chi Fajardo-Robles , a Media Practitioner and Educator for 20 years and a former Radio, TV News Anchor and Public Affairs Host, will act as Moderator.
Media leaders who will sit in the panel are: Ms. Emily Abrera, Chairman Emeritus, McCann Worldgroup; Mr. Mag Cruz Hatol, Secretary General, Anak TV; Ms. Maloli Espinosa, President, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas and Ms. Charm de Asis-Guce, an academic tutor and expert on character and values formation for the youth.
