What your underwear says about you

LIVING ALIVE - LIVING ALIVE By Dero Pedero -
Do you wear granny-type underwear? Do you like undies that provide maximum, almost military coverage or do you prefer those sensuously minimal lace underthings? Are you more comfortable in boxer shorts or do you feel you are in your element in skimpy bikini-cut briefs?

You may not know it, but what you wear beneath your clothes reveal many things about you – juicy little secrets that can even astound you. Whether it’s Jockey, Victoria’s Secret, La Perla, Dolce and Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Bench, or the supermarket variety, your underwear affects your life and the way you live it.

Why You Wear What You Wear
There are two types of people: those who wear underwear, and those who don’t. Under those who use underwear are two categories: those who care about what they wear, and those who couldn’t care less. Those who care about what they wear can further be classified under many, many groups who say things like: "It’s okay as long as it’s clean, even if it is old and tattered." "Comfort is my prime consideration." "It has to be new, stylish, and impeccable." "It has to be a signature brand or I won’t wear it." Or "I must feel very sexy in it!"

When people buy underwear, they consider comfort, look or style, wearability and how they feel in it, security, ease of care and maintenance, durability and, of course, price. Others buy items that hide bodily imperfections and look for structurally enhanced underwear like padded bras and derriere-augmented panties or get corsets and restrictors that give the illusion of a slimmer figure. Many other factors affect people’s choice: cultural conditioning, religious beliefs, what’s in fashion or in vogue, and the persuasive power of advertising and marketing.
Choices And Revelations
The underwear you finally choose and wear reveals the following things:

Your personality. The traditional and old-fashioned will choose the tried and tested (and usually very modest) underwear that their parents and grandparents used. Modern-thinking people would choose stylish and well-designed briefs, panties, and bras. The daring and avant- garde would opt for risque novelty items that reveal more of the anatomy, using flimsy, see-through materials done in sexually enticing cuts and designs.

Your taste. The type of underwear you don reflects your taste or lack of it. Taste, of course, is dictated by social norms, style gurus, and fashion arbiters. The quality of taste you acquire also depends highly on your upbringing, exposure to the finer things in life, your friends and social circle, education, and economic status.

Your financial state. This determines whether you could afford a pair of $100-Versace briefs.

Your self-esteem. We’ve often been warned, "Don’t be caught dead in dirty or tattered underwear. What if you got into an accident? What would the doctors say when they see your underwear?" This admonition teaches us to value ourselves more by realizing that we deserve the best even in underwear. Your undies reflect how you look at yourself. Those who esteem themselves highly would be more underwear-conscious and would settle for nothing but the finest, even though underwear is not readily seen.

Your level of personal hygiene. You can tell if a person is clean or not by checking his/her underwear. Negligence of good grooming and bodily cleanliness translates into shabby under and outer dressing, and highly disagreeable body odor.

Your sexuality. The degree of your sexual liberation and comfort in your own skin is definitely reflected in your underwear. How you dress beneath is a trustworthy preview of whether you are conservative, shy, a show-off, a flirt, aggressive, or an exhibitionist. Being properly underwear-equipped denotes that you are ready for sexual encounter any time.

Your psychological fantasies and eccentricities. Deviant, off-tangent underwear reveals psychologically rooted fantasies, and eccentricities. Some people enjoy being masters, others like being slaves. Most men like to exert their masculinity; women love to flaunt their femininity. Still others find fulfillment in cross-dressing. It takes all kinds, and people express their predilections through imaginative personal underwear.

Your innermost secrets and desires. The underwear department is the most expressive venue of a person’s deepest secrets and desires. Wearing undergarments is visceral and shows the person’s secret, sometimes sacred inner self.
Change Your Underwear, Change Your Life
Here’s a funny personal story. I used to wear traditional briefs, the bulky kind, and life seemed to be okay. But when I switched to briefer briefs, I noticed an energizing, liberating change in me. The imprisoning feeling of underwear was lifted and I was gradually able to deal with most of my little insecurities and sexual inhibitions. I became more aware of my body and felt sexier and more confident in a way.

When you change your underwear, you change your life. It’s a playful way to enhance your self-esteem and increase your sexuality. When you are wearing something fun and sexy underneath and you know it, you feel like you have a secret within you that nobody knows. That can be a very powerful and pleasurable feeling. And people will only see the glow and ecstasy in your eyes. Except for the one person you decide to undress in front of!
