Some great truths about life that children have learned:
1) When your Mom is mad at your Dad, dont let her brush your hair.
2) If your sister hits you, dont hit her back. They always catch the second person.
3) Dont sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
4) Dont wear polka dot underwear under white shorts.
5) The best place to be when youre sad is Grandpas lap.
KIDS QUIPS |
I enjoyed reading your column especially the issue where you shared with your readers funny anecdotes about children. I would like to share with you my own kids quips. My eldest son, Paolo, who recently turned 5, was once singing me a song he had just learned in school. I said to him, "Lagyan mo naman ng action yung singing mo." He quipped, "Mommy, anong action? The grease stripper?" Then we both gave out hearty laughs!
My goddaughter, Mikhaela who is 4 and in school, also has an interesting anecdote. While they were discussing the parts of the face in class, the teacher asked, "Para saan ang eyes?" Mike replied, "Para sa juice!" Sheila, mother of 2
Jumpy was with us in London. Our hotel was located on Oxford Street. Jumpy was 2 years old at the time. You know how it is when families are abroad, walking is the order of the day. Walking down Oxford St. is like walking down the whole of Ayala Ave. It must have been too much for a little boy like Jumpy.
After resting in our hotel room, Jumpy picked up the phone and asked the operator to please get Leo, our driver back home so he would not have to walk anymore.
How I easily forget I have a little boy in tow. Mina
