Disney to reveal real-life 'Star Wars' lightsaber next year
MANILA, Philippines — Disney will reportedly reveal the most authentic-looking "Star Wars" lightsaber next year.
In a video posted on Disney Parks YouTube channel yesterday, a glimpse of the lightsaber can be seen alongside other attractions on a Disney Park.
“Walt Disney Imagineering was selected as one of Fast Company’s 2021 Best Workplaces for Innovators. This honor recognizes companies that successfully foster cultures of innovation and encourage employees to discover, explore and invent,” Disney Parks wrote as a caption in the video.
“Around every corner of Walt Disney Imagineering, innovation can be seen through a collaboration of talent all over the world. It’s an environment where making the impossible possible continues to happen year after year,” it added.
Though it's not really an actual blade of light, the realistic lightsaber will look like the ones in the movie saga.
Reports said that the "real-life" lightsaber will debut at Walt Disney's World's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a hotel-like "Star Wars" experience expected to open in 2022. — Video by Disney Parks via YouTube
