Facebook 'reactions' now in the Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - Facebook has rolled out its "reactions" button in the Philippines on November 17.
On October, Facebook mogul Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company is working out on a "dislike button." But instead of the dislike button many Facebook users have been clamoring for, he revealed that the new function does not work like a “downvote."
Instead, it acts like an expanded "like" button, which will enable the user to choose from various kinds of emoticons - love, yay, ha ha, wow, angry and sad.
"Reactions gives you new ways to express love, awe, humor and sadness. It's not a dislike button, but it does give you the power to easily express sorrow and empathy -- in addition to delight and warmth. You’ll be able to express these reactions by long pressing or hovering over the Like button," he said on his Facebook announcement.
