Acer Philippines turns 10

MANILA, Philippines - Acer Philippines celebrated today its 10 years here in the country by highlighting its achievements as one of the major players in the electronics and IT industry.

“Looking back, we met many challenges but we sailed through all of them, thanks in large part to a highly motivated, driven and determined Acer Philippines team," said Acer Philippines General Manager Manuel Wong. "Now that we’ve moved past 10 years, it’s not impossible anymore to look at 20, or even 30, years of bringing innovative and quality products to Filipino IT consumers.”

With the theme “InTENse,” Acer's celebration at the EDSA Shangri-La also saw the unveiling of its latest products.

The Aspire R7 notebook has certain components that have been repositioned to optimize hand movement. Acer did this by moving the touch pad above the keyboard, smoothly working with the hand movement to and from the screen and pad.  The Aspire R7 notebook is installed with the latest generation Intel processor that promises speed and efficient processing.

Aspire P3 Ultrabook

For those who value flexibility, Acer has the Aspire P3 Ultrabook with a 10-point touch technology that gives users the option of using it either as a tablet or with a keyboard. With color-rich HD display and Dolby surround sound speakers, the device promises the best in multimedia experience in a compact, portable form.

Acer’s Iconia A1-810 tablet, meanwhile, is a fully functional tablet with a larger display, one-hand handling, quad-core processor, gyroscope for immersive game play, and Acer Touch WakeApp for quick access to favorite programs from sleep mode.

The Aspire V5-122P is an ultrathin and super light notebook that is easy to carry around and has a larger touch pad, full keyboard size, a display that reduces eye fatigue and 10-point touch.

Acer is also launching other products for the new generation of users like the Aspire V5-473 PG notebook powered by the latest generation Intel processor.

The Acer TravelMate P245M as well as its Veriton N and M Series are for business travelers who value productivity even when on the road.

Liquid E2

As for its smartphone offering, there is the Liquid E2 that boasts of an 8MP autofocus camera and 2MP front camera, and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor for those looking for a powerful yet affordable device. Also shown was the Acer K335 LED projector.
