An adventure in every Nokia Lumia
MANILA, Philippines - It is always interesting how cell phone manufacturers go out of their way to launch their newest devices. The gimmicks, the shows and even the outdoor adventures always make for an interesting take on what and how we use our cell phones. Or at least it shows us how the cell phone manufacturer view what and how we use our cell phones.
Recently, Finnish manufacturer Nokia took us out on three adventures to launch the Nokia Lumia 610 and 800. “Nokia Lumia Ticket to Amazing” was what the event was called. We were asked to pick one of three adventures where we could use the many new and hi-tech features of the Lumia.
Day one was set for an Appetizing Adventure. Participants had an exclusive cooking class and degustation lunch by chef Sau del Rosario at the Blue Leaf Pavilion, McKinley Hill Village in Taguig City. They learned how to whip up a full-course meal with pan-fried foie gras and pineapple compote as appetizer, lapu-lapu fish fillet in orange soya coriander reduction as the main dish, and wild berry panna cotta for dessert.
Nokia Philippines corporate communications manager Nikka Abes An Aqua Adventure was prepared for the second day. Guests were treated to an underwater Aquanaut experience at the Manila Ocean Park, plus a relaxing spa treatment afterward. They had an option to do Fish Spa at the Oceanarium or Hot Bed at the Zenyu Eco Spa, H2O Hotel.
The last group that joined the Ticket to Amazing was literally swept off their feet with the Aero Adventure. They had a fun 15-minute helicopter ride and saw the amazing sights around Manila, Taguig and Makati.
During each event, we had a chance to try out the amazing features of the Nokia Lumia 610 and the Nokia Lumia 800. I shared the photos and videos I took. I tweeted about it and I also posted two photos on Facebook.
With a good Wi-Fi connection, the Lumia 610 uploads photos on Facebook quickly. I also got a few comments on my Facebook post really fast.
